Reptile Vs Mammal Respiration

(Class 11/11/2008) 11/04/2008

During today's class, first Instead, we make reference to the origin of the organizations with primitive men, when they agreed to hunt.

then Lola, nominates a book ("The Chalice and the Blade") draws our attention to our work, so we want to make a brief summary of what he states:

Original title: The Chalice and the Blade. Our History, Our Future.Título in English: The Chalice and the Blade. Our History, Our Futuro.Autora: Riane EislerAño: 1987

Foreword by Humberto Maturana, "Why Why we harass and persecute each other?, why our world is full of infamous man's inhumanity to man and woman, how can humans be so brutal to their own kind? "is the search for these answers that led to this book by Riane Eisler, The Chalice and the Blade. It takes into account all of human history, as well as all humanity, that is, with its two parts, male and female. Mingling various archaeological evidence to suggest, religion, art, social sciences and history and other fields of research, Riane Eisler recreates a new story about our origins cultural. It shows that the "war of the sexes' and domination by one gender over the other, are not divine decrees and are predetermined by our biology or genetics, but emerged from the evolution of men and women as antagonistic entities in a model of domination that exclude respect for other human beings. This book questions the foundations of Darwinism, namely the struggle and competition are natural and inherent in the people. The Chalice and the Blade raises a hope. While not a return to society of solidarity that prevailed at the beginning of time, but building something similar, in that instead of domination which there is collaboration, what Riane Eisler called Partnership.

MODERN TIMES CIVIC

DEFAULT. Giroux (1999)

The default is shown as if by chance, with the theme of the red flag and communism was the enemy at the time of capitalism, is also shown being punished from government, it is assumed that ensures the welfare state. This is curious because the only ones who are well are the companies that caused the rebellion in their workers.

Rebellion in this work can be seen reflected in certain behaviors such as the orphan girl refusing to go to an orphanage and escaping from police. We can also observe rebellion, from my point of view, in the last scene in which Charlotte and the girl disappear along the way, as if trying to escape the modernity of that time and find a quieter place where they can live his life.
